Subtitled "Urban Renewal as Ethnic Cleansing", E. Michael Jones' volume on the destruction of four northern cities between 1930 and 1970 offers an alternative look at post-civil war thought. For Southern purists who honestly believe that no one else has ever been sold out with a black, the history of the Northen industrial centers destruction since the rise of Nazi Germany in the 1930s provides another look at the century after the Lincoln Murder. For the totally sectarian Northerner, looking perhaps farther east across the Atlantic than he normally would for causes in American strife, the focus on Irish identity in the ethnic cleansing of the towns shows an alternative northward trajectory for secession, and in this century both foreign (meaning alien) as well as seditious.
