Have you ever noticed that there's never a finished fine art sketch of an alien or a fine art oil painting of one on canvass? All pictures of aliens are cartoons or computer animated graphics. The fine art cartoon is much simpler than the sketch, and the main difference between them is that while a preliminary drawing for a canvass is always done on paper in black and white (graphite), a cartoon is in color. The cartoon is drawn either after carving it onto wet plaster for a bas relief or on paper (I know there are black and white cartoons by lazy syndicators on cheap wire services, but they also obey this rule), and is designed specifically to be both easily repeatable by its simplicity and instantly recognizable by its complexity. Sketches are life drawings and studies for paintings, which aim at a unique unrepeatable and impossible to forge unique single fine art result. Cartoons are meant to be easy to draw repeatedly and rapidly by the artist, who uses the logo/symbol style nature of them to tell a story by animation them from frame to frame and giving them dialogue.
In spite of the fact that I find graphic depictions of aliens tacky, tasteless, low quality, unattractive, downright rude, and despicable as humor, I am willing to proceed under the resuelvase that "Aliens Exist". I'll do it for my old Art and Architecture Through the Ages teacher, the chair of the history department when I was a Senior in High School way back before the boondocks. Resuelvase is a Spanish word connoting an order in chambers, a resolution in parliament (the congress, house, senate), a proposition for a law, a bill, or a referendum. Salvador Dali has one in his movies and self-portrait videos, it is specifically about painting, fine art, coloring books, and the world-famous Dublin Codex, a page of which is shown as my screen avatar, so I'll do it!
